At present, this web site is still under construction. We are making an effort to engage our visual and electronic artists, poets, photographers, architects, writers, craftspeople, and performers and to have them tell us what it is that they would like to have you see, or understand. All links aren't up yet and if you feel something should work that doesn't, let us know and we'll see if we can fix it.
If you are an artist, student of the arts, or an appreciative audience for the arts, this site is for you. Tell us what you would like to see at this site, or how you can contribute to it. Tell us on our CONTACT page if you would like to be added to our database to be contacted if we should need people to help out with exhibits, productions, or presentations. Also, if you would like to be notified of events, or if you would like to participate as an exhibitor or presenter, or even as a host, or a baker of cookies for one of our brown bag lunches!
We are here for you; to inform you of the possibilities for the arts in the San Pedro Valley community and all of Southeast Arizona. We welcome your input. If you know of an art event that the public would enjoy, let us know; we'll post it on our EXHIBITIONS AND EVENTS page.
In brief, you should know the following about our new status: the San Pedro River Arts Council has just been established, and incorporated as a nonprofit. We strive for a Board of seven members and many auxiliary members. Our by-laws have been updated from the Benson Arts Commission bylaws. The City of Benson, Arizona has funded us this year and we are working to establish an annual budget. We have the support of the Arizona Commission on the Arts, and we're looking forward to your support as well.
